Pumpkin Patch Adventure!

Hey everyone! So for my next post I decided to put up my TT#3. I thought it was a fun adventure and I hope you do too! Let me know what you think!! Happy Reading!!!

One fall Saturday afternoon, my mom put my sisters, Jenifer and Sarah, and I into our old, grey Oldsmobile station wagon. Once we were in the car, she told us we were going on an adventure! I, being the youngest, got stuck with the seat facing out the back window. I always thought that I would get sick and vomit because my sisters said so, but I didn’t. I did have fun waving at all the people driving behind our car. Of course, I had no idea of where we were going and sitting backwards certainly didn’t help. When we arrived, mom said that the ground was a little squishy and slippery because of all the rain that we had gotten during the week and to be careful walking. When I got out of the car, I heard my sister, Jenifer, yell, “We’re at the pumpkin patch, we’re at the pumpkin patch!!”
I held my mom’s hand as she pointed to the fields and fields of ripe, orange pumpkins. She also showed us the stacks of pumpkins that had already been picked. My mom then told us that there was a petting farm and a general store. I was as excited as a kid at Toys-R-Us! We decided that we should go to the petting farm first. I saw noisy chickens, strutting roosters, muddy piglets, and cute baby goats. The goat tried to bite me and I started crying. Jenifer and Sarah called me a baby; I cried even more.
By that time, my mom thought it would be a good idea to move on to the pumpkin patch so we could choose a family pumpkin. After a long squishy walk, we got out to the field. There were so many shapes and sizes of pumpkins to choose from, I didn’t know how to choose just one. So, I started whining and asked my mom, “Can we each get our own pumpkin?” Of course having the best mom in the world, she said “Yes!” At which time, she didn’t realize that she needed to have her head examined for responding so quickly. She ended up carrying all three pumpkins all the way back across the bumpy, squishy vine ridden fields to the general store. My mom was covered with wet mud, but she didn’t seem to mind.
Once we got to the general store, my mom paid for the pumpkins. At the same time, I managed to touch everything on the shelves. Some of the items were breakable and my mom kept saying, “Look with your eyes, not with your hands.” My sisters and I decided that before we left we wanted to climb the haystack and Mom would take a picture of us sitting on top. To get to the top, my sisters and I had to climb a six foot tall ladder which was leaning on the back of the haystack. After we all got up to the top, I felt a little wiggly. My mom had us sit down for the picture. Jenifer picked to sit in the middle, Sarah sat on the left, and I was on the right. While I was sitting up there waiting for mom to take the picture, I somehow lost my balance and began to slowly roll down the side of the haystack. Once I got to the bottom, I stood up and with eyes like “deer in the headlights,” I looked at my mom and my sisters, Jenifer and Sarah, who were trying not to laugh out loud at me. Then all of a sudden I burst into tears; I was so scared and not sure if I had hurt myself. I felt like I dropped from the sky! Luckily, I had not broken anything or hurt myself. My mom decided we would take a picture in front of the haystack! Then we walked back to the car through the squishy, grassy mud and drove home. I will always remember that day as one of the best adventures of my life! I even laugh a little because rolling down the haystack was really awesome and my sisters didn’t get to do it, just me.

Ohhh Marching Band...

Hey everyone!!

It's Friday!! As everyone knows...I am in the marching band. I know, I know..."What a band nerd!" What can I say...I love it!! I have met and made some amazing friends from being in it. I don't know if any of you go to the games and watch our halftime shows, but they are really cool and we do some interesting/fun moves (i.e. the Step-twos). Well, to add on to the step-two drills, Dr. Tracz decides to add some knee bows at the end of our show...Oy Vey! They are fun, but such a killer to my knee! If you any of you come to the game tomorrow, you should definitely watch the halftime show! You won't be dissappointed...it's the Beatles!! Anywho, I just wanted to say "Hi!" to all of you and welcome you to my new blog!! Have a great weekend!!
